Department Overview
Energy Supply is responsible for managing PG&E’s portfolio of owned and contracted energy resources that provides safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally sound energy to our. The Gateway Generating Station (GGS) started commercial operations in January 2009. The plant is located in Antioch, CA. This combined cycle, natural gas facility operates 24/7 and is capable of delivering up to 590 MW of power output. The facility utilizes combined cycle technology with two General Electric F class combustion turbines and one D-11steam turbine.
Position Summary
The Plant Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a fossil power plant and ensures plant operational goals are met and that operational excellence is achieved and maintained. The Operations Supervisor may perform the work of the Maintenance Supervisor as well if the operations dictate.
